Children´s Discovery Museum of San Jose

Hello Everyone! A nice place for children!! Check the schedule on the website! They have a lot of activities!

"The Museum's exhibit philosophy is rooted in its mission and responds to the distinctive need for children to learn through concrete interactions — touching, exploring, manipulating and experimenting.
Over 28,000 square feet of semi-permanent and travelling exhibits address the educational and cultural needs of CDM's audience through the themes of Connections, Community and Creativity.

Living in Space

February 6, 2010 through May 9, 2010

Become an International Space Station (ISS) “crewmember” and engage in a multitude of astronaut activities in Living in Space, CDM’s newest hands-on traveling exhibit. Plan a day in space, perform crewmembers’ work, including a simulated science experiment, and see how everyday endeavors, such as mealtimes or play/free-time choices, are different when your feet aren’t on terra firma. Immerse yourself in this unique space environment and learn about a day in the life of an ISS crewmember. It’s out-of-this-world!

Classroom Lesson Plans: Pre-K through 8th grade, targeting Grades K through 4

Living in Space was designed and built by The Children’s Museum of Memphis for the Youth Museum Exhibit Collaborative (YMEC).

Exhibit galleries are fully wheelchair accessible, and offer multi-sensory, layered experiences for children of varying developmental stages, interests and backgrounds.

As you browse our exhibits online, look for 'Connections' boxes in the upper right-hand corner of the page. These links will give you ideas for school curriculum, pre- or post-visit projects, or online interactive activities." (Text from website): Children´s Discovery Museum Of San Jose
